I am sure that the creators of Dungeons and Dragons have poured their heart and soul into the setting and lore of the Forgotten Realms. I haven’t ever read any of it to know for sure.

The moment I began facilitating my own DnD games, I began with homebrew settings, campaigns, and encounters. I still use the important things like stat blocks, game mechanics, and classes, I just use it all in my own world.
